In this article Year for Priests: What we learn from video games « CNS Blog Father Chris Valka makes an excellent point that I, as a father (parental type) had not thought of. Like Father Valka, I am often sceptical of claims that video games or certain movies make children behave in certain ways. While I fully agree that the circumstances that surround the playing of video games and watching certain types of movies do contribute to behavior. In these cases I see it more as the lack of interaction with family and others that is fostered by allowing children too much time in either genre and therefore leads to a certain level of disconnection, lack of social interaction skills, etc...
